This move aims to improve the stability and security of China's supply chain.
At 2:00 a.m. on June 26, 2024, a China Post Airlines cargo plane took off from Nanjing Lukou International Airport in Jiangsu Province and flew directly to
Luxembourg.
This is the first intercontinental route independently operated by China Post.
The recently opened intercontinental route from Nanjing to Luxembourg by China Post can cover up to 36 European countries and regions, making a major European transport hub.
The opening of this route will greatly reduce transportation time, with an increase in maximum speed from 4 to 7 days, and thus can more effectively meet the delivery service needs of cross-border manufacturing and e-commerce customers.
China Post is planning to gradually expand its intercontinental routes to Australia and North America, with Nanjing Lukou International Airport and Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport as hubs, in order to build a comprehensive international air network covering Europe, North America and Southeast Asia.
This move aims to improve the stability and security of China's supply chain.
Currently, its China Post air fleet comprenden more than 40 aircraft.
