In September 2024, the PLA released a military ideological promotional film “Quenching” jointly launched by China Bugle. The short two-minute promotional video vividly shows the spirit and advanced equipment of the Chinese People's Liberation Army in the new era. It also contains a large number of details covering the four services of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Missile Force.

The 2-minute and 31-second promotional video shows the aircraft carrier “Fujian” undergoing a test of the electromagnetic ejection device.
In the design of the electromagnetic catapult control room of the “Fujian” aircraft carrier, it can be seen that the Chinese aircraft carrier adopts a “bubble” design similar to that of the U.S. aircraft carrier.
So-called “bubbles” are called “Integrated Catapult Control Stations” (ICCS) in U.S. military parlance. Generally there are two of them. One is placed between catapults No. 1 and No. 2 on the forward flight deck are controlled for takeoff, and another is placed between catapults No. 3 and No. 4 on the angled deck to control the two catapults.
In addition, some spare catapult control devices will be installed on the aircraft carrier, such as in the working channel on the cockpit side.
Because it is necessary to consider the flat surface of the flight deck, the “integrated ejection control station” often adopts a telescopic structure design. It will only rise when there is a flight mission on the carrier deck and shrink on the deck when there is no flight mission, below, after shrinking, it is flush with the flight deck.
Judging from the details released in the “Quenching” promotional video, the “Integrated Ejection Control Station” of the aircraft carrier “Fujian” also uses this telescopic structure. It can be said to be directly inspired by the existing experience of U.S. Navy aircraft carriers.
The task performed by this control station is very simple: it sets the catapult force based on the takeoff weight of each aircraft on the carrier, combined with the wind on the deck and other data. After confirming that the carrier-based aircraft is ready the catapult operator presses the button. The plane is ejected into the air.
In the promotional video of “Quenching,” the “Fujian” catapult operator is specially photographed pressing the button. The catapult ejection button is a green square with a protective plastic shell.
The Air Force's attention focused on the drone unit. The Wujian-7 reconnaissance drone and the Wugong-2 integrated reconnaissance and attack drone appeared one after another in front of the camera. These two drones have been equipped by the military for a long time and have been displayed twice at the Zhuhai Air Show. This is not the first time they have been photographed on the ground and in the air.
In the A2A lens, the flight path of the Wujian-7 unmanned reconnaissance aircraft is light and looks very elegant, while the Wugong-2 integrated reconnaissance and attack drone offers the opportunity to launch a certain precision-guided anti-tank missile from above. This is also the first time the Chinese military has publicly unveiled an integrated drone-launched anti-tank missile for surveillance and combat.
In addition to the Navy and the Air Force, the Rocket Force also appears in the promotional video “Quenching”; note the Rocket Force's technical readiness positions that have rarely been glimpsed before and the Rocket Force's conventional ballistic missile force.
